Ẹ káàbọ̀! Báwo ni? Ṣé dáadáa ni? Welcome or welcome back! My name is Lance (or Ọmọ Awo Ifakorede Ifayemi). I’m an initiate of Ìṣẹ̀ṣe, an aspiring babaláwo, and a life long student of this tradition with a passion for service and a strong belief in the power of transformation. I first started engaging Ìṣẹ̀ṣe in 2020 and can personally testify to how life changing the knowledge and insight has been. I initiated in early 2025 in Oyo State, Nigeria (Lineage: Oluawo Ifatoki Akangbe Ojo Ifa – The Oluawo Alaafin of Oyo Land), and I am on a mission to uplift people and assist them in aligning with their purpose and destiny. I am actively studying the Odu Ifa, ritualistic aspects of the tradition, and the Yoruba language, and I look forward to expanding the range of support I can offer.

What is a Babaláwo?

A Babaláwo, which translates to “Father of Mysteries”, is a high priest and traditional holistic healer in the Yorùbá spiritual system known as Ìṣẹ̀ṣe (or more commonly known as “Ifa”). Also referred to as an “Awo”, the Babaláwo is an entrusted custodian of sacred divine wisdom and is responsible for utilizing that knowledge to help community members navigate life challenges and maintain balance.
